Iceland is hot and more airlines than ever wants to fly to Iceland according to Bloomberg news in an article published on march 25th 2012. The Eyjafjallajökull volcano was great publicity for this peculiar island and the banking crisis made the currency more affordable than ever resulting in less expensive Iceland car rental, hotels and flights.

Easyjet began flights to Iceland on march 27th, Icelandair will increase capacity this year and a new local startup, WoW air, will begin service june 1st just to name a few. More than 2 million passengers traveled through Keflavik Interntional Airport last year according to Bloomberg and 2,4 million is expected in 2012.
