Cancellation Policy – Prepaid Bookings
In case of a cancellation, the rental needs to be cancelled more than 3 days prior to rental pick up for a full refund.
If a rental is cancelled with less than 3 days notice or in case of no show the full rental price will be charged.
- 3 days or earlier – Full refund
- Less than 3 days – Non refundable
If you need to cancel your prepaid reservation please do so by sending an email to thrifty@thrifty.is stating your name and reservation number.
Cancellation Policy – Pay on arrival Bookings
Pay on arrival bookings (pay later) can be cancelled up to the time your rental is due to begin. You can cancel pay on arrival bookings on our website by clicking the View/Cancel booking button in the top right hand corner of the website.
Extensions
Extensions depend on availability at each given time. For an available vehicle, extra charges are applied according to the extension and the rental price. No extra fee is charged for the modification.
Please note that if the rental is paid through a 3rd party but not extended through that 3rd party Thrifty rates apply.
Extensions are not considered accepted until the renter has both signed a new rental contract which is done electronically and paid for the extension.
Please Note:
- It can take 3-10 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card statement. If you do not see the amount on your statement after that time we suggest you contact your credit card company.
